Using Multiple Posters at One Time

By: Colleen Davis

The idea behind a lot of poster printing campaigns I’ve seen is to get the company’s name and marketing message in a set location, and that’s all. A single poster is therefore enough to accomplish this, and all the company will often put up in any given place.

Is that really always enough though, and what can you accomplish with multiple posters in one location?

In order to get a strategy like this to work when you print posters you’ll have to make more than one. I would suggest making as many as three or four different posters, perhaps more depending on the size of the area you plan to cover.

Make sure that all of these posters are linked in some way. Image heavy posters work well for this because you can have multiple posters dedicated to the same thing without repeating a lot of the same information. The best example I can think of off the top of my head would be a series of poster for a television show where each poster shows a different character from the show on it with a slightly different message specific to that character, but still connected with the show as a whole.

This way the presence in any given location with multiple posters is greatly increased, and each poster has a slightly unique message to offer people while still being focused around a single over all theme.

One of the reasons why this can be so effective is because you get better results out of a potentially prime location, which is always important when you print posters. The locations will often be the most important part of your poster printing, and now you can get more from each location by having that many more posters in the same place.

Plus, by having your posters linked you give people multiple messages and can get them that much more interested because they’re getting a stronger dose of your marketing presence, but they aren’t being shown the exact same thing over and over again.

This might very well cost you more money when it comes to getting multiple orders of color posters made up, so you’ll want to be certain that your locations are solid enough to ensure a good boost in your sales should you try this. That way you can make up for the extra costs by generating that much more business.

If nothing else you can gain more attention by doing something different than most other companies. A lot of the time that alone is worth the extra cost, and can quickly make a name for your company if you handle things right. It’s always the more unique forms of marketing that people will later remember the most.
