A new relationship is a boon and sometimes people do need to work hard to get the relationship going. This is true for all the relationships, old or new, but when it is new, the ifs and buts galore. There is always a feeling of losing this new found happiness and everyone feels jittery. So everybody treads cautiously and sometimes make it so cautious that the relationship almost stops moving forward. This is dangerous too and the apprehensions can sometimes prove counter-productive. So all you need to do is to take balanced steps and start on your journey one step at a time. The new relationships are always pregnant with promises and expectations. A new relationship has the bad effect of people dreaming of the perfect wedding, kids and the retired life within a span of a few minutes. That is not the case and that is not the right way too. You have to be cautious in fact, you have to be more than cautious because if the relationship turns out to be something else then the fall from the blissful heaven will hurt more than anything else. You should know that every relationship has its own pace and you should not overrun it. If you want to call it a secret of success you can call it so. Your job is to identify this pace and go with it. A new relationship is a blessing. You should enjoy it without fear and without letting the ghosts from the past haunt you. Bury your past experiences and give full time to the new one. The past relationships, if any, are actually the learning blocks with which you learn to identify the various aspects of relationships. The experiences gathered there will help you in your new relationship and that is the positive side. You must see this side instead of thinking of them and comparing them with the new one. Never allow these to come into the present relationship. Relationships are not projects and no planning can prepare you for the moment. Also do not try to be cosmetic, that is, do not try to show off that you care. If you care it will naturally reflect in your actions and for that you need not be conscious. Do not neglect the tiny matters. These have snowballing effects and can raise their heads at such times that the relationship cannot be put together again. So clear your minds whenever you find anything not acceptable. It may be rectified by your partner or he/she may express the inability to amend it. This will be beneficial as you can then judge whether you can carry on with the relationship any further. Finally, respect your partner’s privacy and behavior. Do not try to mould it until you find that offensive. Never try to impose your likes and dislikes onto your partner. Let the relationship build up the tolerance limit. If it is a good relationship then adjustments over time can ultimately forge it into an unbreakable one. Thus time is the greatest factor and it actually strengthens a relationship. So if we now summarize the facts then you will find that in any relationship • Strike a balance between hesitation and aggression. • Do not rush into any relationships. Let it mature at its own pace. • Learn from the past but do not let it haunt your new relationship. Never compare your past relations with your present one. • Take the steps as the moment deserve. There can be no planning and also never try to show off your affection because most of the time they can turn synthetic. • Clear the air on things you do not like in our partner. This helps to iron out differences rather than letting them grow into mountains that cannot be crossed. • Respect your partner’s privacy and ideology. Do not try to change them to suit your own unless it is harmful to both of you. Hopefully, if everything goes well during the initial years and if there is nothing to hide between the two of you, the relationship may last long enough to recall in the old ages.
