Whatever the situation, you cannot delete your credit history but certainly you can repair it by yourself or with the aid of companies that truly work in your favor, if you are aware that the only way to improve your credit score is with a personal debt repayment plan that naturally will require a conscious effort and the review of your credit history, if you have not already done it. The three nationwide consumer reporting bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) provide a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months, but if you have already asked for your copy within the current year, it is possible obtain an additional through a credit company for a little cost. In addition, before setting your personal repayment plan you can repair partially your credit taking advantage of the law that grants you the right to dispute outdated items or mistakes. Do not fall in those scams that encourage you to create a new credit identity by applying for an Employer Identification Number with the hope to create a new credit report that is not based on your Social Security number. Remember that such actions are illegal and you will not only able to repair your credit history but you may end expending hundreds or thousands of dollars and being subject of prosecution for committing fraud. However, legit credit repair companies can help you to clean your credit history sticking to the Credit Repair Organizations Act that states they cannot require you to pay until they have completed the services they have promised.
