Anyone has been given a present that is simply horrible. You can give it to charity, or post it on www.freecycle.com where everything donated is free to users. You may hide the horrible gift in a box where you may never run into it again. Whatever you do please do not throw the gift away. We all know about re-gifting, a risky and often unpleasant practice. Re-gifting is never a approved of custom. Especially if the person that gave you the gift finds out. There are numerous ways to put the gift to use, without the awkward and blatant re-wrapping and passing of the gift. 1. Create a "Treasure Box." I use a large tote. It is wise to label the gift with where and when you got it. A. Place gifts that are of no use to you in the treasure chest. B. It is wise to categorize all the items and place them together. C. Group together items for your re-gift. For example favorite films. Take the films, and gift wrap them. You can add to the theme of the gift by including popcorn. If you are giving the films to an adult or family, put in a homemade gift certificate for one night of free babysitting (if they have kids). The goal is to avoid spending too much, but make a nice gift. Make sure that you are not giving the gift back to the individual you originally received it from. Now those horrible or duplicategifts you have accumulated don't need to go to waste.
